Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the Groundwork Campaign?

Groundwork: Paving the Way Forward is Bethel’s giving campaign to fully fund the paving of our church parking lot. It’s both a practical and spiritual effort — finishing a project generations have prayed for and investing in something future generations will enjoy.

2. How much do we need to raise?

The total cost of the project is $225,000. We need just $75,000 more to finish the work and pave the lot debt-free.

3. Why call it “Groundwork”?

Because this isn’t just construction — it’s continuation. Those who came before us laid the foundation through faith, sacrifice, and giving. We’re building on their work and preparing the ground for those who will come after us.

4. How long will the campaign run?

The campaign runs through May 31, 2026. All pledges and gifts must be completed by that date in order to be counted toward official recognition tiers.

5. How can I give?

There are two preferred methods for giving to the campaign:

  • In person: Use the special Groundwork envelopes available in the sanctuary or from an usher.

  • Online: Give through Givelify, selecting the Groundwork Campaign option.

6. Can I give over time?

Yes! You may give in installments (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or as you’re able) as long as your total gift is fulfilled by May 31, 2026. This flexibility allows everyone to participate according to their capacity and faith.

7. Can my family give together as one donor?

Absolutely. Families can combine their giving toward a single pledge. For recognition purposes, your total will be counted together so that households can celebrate reaching a giving tier as one family.

  • NOTE: Please be sure to include your family name on your donor form and all Groundwork envelopes. If individuals will be giving electronically on behalf of the family, be sure the Groundwork Financial Team knows whose gifts to count toward your total.

8. How will giving be tracked?

A dedicated Groundwork Financial Team oversees all recordkeeping and reporting.

  • Gifts made through Groundwork envelopes will be tracked and recorded.

  • The team will maintain a secure donor tracking system and provide progress updates every 4–6 weeks.

  • Members are encouraged to keep personal records or screenshots of online gifts for verification and recognition purposes.

Transparency, accuracy, and stewardship are priorities throughout this campaign.

9. How will we know our progress?

Our Groundwork Progress Wall will visually track our journey toward $75,000. The wall will be updated regularly so the whole church can see our collective progress as we move toward completion.

10. How are donors recognized?

All donors will be recognized in our printed dedication program once the campaign concludes, with additional acknowledgments for those giving at higher levels. Those who desire to remain anonymous may do so.

11. What happens once the goal is reached?

When the final goal is met, we’ll contact our vetted and chosen paving partner to finalize planning and schedule the work to be completed. To celebrate, we’ll look to have a worship and ribbon-cutting celebration to dedicate the finished project and give thanks for God’s favor and the faithfulness of His people.

12. Is my giving tax-deductible?

Yes. All donations to Bethel’s Groundwork Campaign are tax-deductible as charitable contributions through the church’s non-profit status.

13. Why does this project matter?

Groundwork is more than pavement — it’s progress. It’s a visible sign of what faith, unity, and generosity can accomplish when the people of God work together.

We’re not just laying asphalt; we’re laying a foundation of legacy, stewardship, and shared vision for the future of Bethel.
